Renee Shaeffer Designs

Renee Shaeffer got her start as a volunteer at Los Gatos Ballet in Los Gatos, California eight years ago. Since then she studied under the late Travis Halsey of Halsey Onstage and was able to work under him at the Paper Mill Playhouse and Ballet Vero Beach. She has traveled to Canada to take tutu classes from Pamela Martin of Matryoshka Tutus.

Most recently, she has been able to design for Golden State Ballet in San Diego, California and start to teach Men's Tunic drafting and construction. When not creating new tutus and tunics, you can find her backstage working for the Theatrical Wardrobe Union 784 as a dresser and stitcher. She also enjoys creating custom vintage inspired outfits for Dapper Day in the Disney Parks, Cosplay, and theater costumes.
